Day 1
Hanoi – Sapa
Meet a Hanoi guide at the hotel for transfer to Hanoi Railway Station. Board the luxurious Victoria Express train for an overnight journey to Lao Cai Station located on the northern border of Vietnam.

Day 2
Sapa
Upon arrival in Lao Cai, transfer 45 minutes to a Sapa hotel to freshen up and energise with breakfast. Explore Sapa township in the morning then enjoy an afternoon excursion to Ta Phin Village. With unspoiled scenery, this unique place is home to the Red Dao people who maintain a rich culture and their well-preserved traditions.

Day 3
Sapa
Trek mountain trails to two different minority villages, Ta Van and Lao Chai. This moderate day-trek provides the perfect opportunity to encounter different ethnic minorities and immerse in the famed scenery of Northern Vietnam. In Ta Van village, admire the natural scenery of a place where many different ethnic groups live together in harmony. Be introduced to a distinct system of folklore in this traditional place. Continue to Lao Chai village nestled within a picturesque valley, and home to the hospitable Black Hmong people. Hike back to Sapa town later in the afternoon and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 4
Sapa
After breakfast at the hotel, walk to Sapa’s ethnic market. This vibrant hub is where hill tribe minorities from all over the region convene to trade an array of textiles, food, jewellery, decorative accessories, and animals. Spend the rest of the day at leisure or ask the guide to arrange an optional trek if still feeling energetic.

Day 5
Sapa – Lao Cai station – Hanoi
Wake for a final day in beautiful Sapa; this can be enjoyed at leisure until late afternoon. Later on, it’s time to board the Victoria Express for the return overnight journey back to Hanoi.

Day 6
Arrive Hanoi
Around 5:30am the train will roll into Hanoi Railway Station; transfer to a hotel in the city then enjoy the rest of the day independently.
