Hue City Tour
Begin a day of exploration within the walled Citadel of Hue and take in the ruins of the city’s regal past. Created in the 19th century, the Imperial City is known for its impressive architecture and beautiful landscaping. Once used by the royal family and their staff, this citadel is full of temples, palaces, offices and gardens. Many of the monuments bear the scars of the war while many more have been restored to their former glory.Spend time exploring the historic streets before a short journey from the old town to the surrounding countryside. Here, visit the impressive Royal Tombs, the final resting place of the Emperors. Surrounded by nature, with a tranquil atmosphere, this series of impressive mausoleums are dotted along the Perfume River. The beautiful tombs are set amongst temples, courtyards and pavilions. After time to explore and take photos, board a small river boat for a delightful journey up river to the tallest Pagoda in Vietnam, the Pagoda of the Celestial Lady or Thien Mu. This iconic, seven-storey pagoda stands on the bank of the Perfume River and is the unofficial symbol of the city of Hue.An experience not to be missed!
