Spanning across the Red River, this cantilever bridge was built during French colonial times and became a symbol of courage and resilience of the Vietnamese people.
Whizz through the lush scenery until reaching the ancient Co Loa citadel. Once the national capital (AD 939 – 944), the spiral-shaped structure was the first fortified citadel in Vietnam and, despite only vestiges of the ancient ramparts remaining, is an important historical site.Next, follow some back roads and head to a local farm.
